I have been away for a while, seriously focusing on expanding my small business. I have been posting ads online, networking, handling orders and doing loads and loads of discount vouchers for people attending the meetups throughout the country. Hectic eh?
And when I am doing nothing of that, I am writing blog posts (like this one!) and creating more awesome products and making them more and more professional looking.
So, today I am sharing with you, one of the simplest designs I had to whip up in a day for a meetup happening this weekend. I was really stretched for time and I had to get them out or they would have never made it to the meetup.
Here’s what I made…
I cut out the card sheet into 4 x 3.75 inches. I then embossed all of them with the polka dots folder.
Once that is done, score at .25 inches at the 3.75 width and the 4 inch height.
Score again at 2 inches at the 4 inch side. See the image below.
Snip off the excess flap of the 2 inch part like shown below. Mitre off the corner for easy folding.
Apply adhesive of your choice on the extra flaps, fold and stick them to make a pocket. It should look like this. (see below)
Using a circle punch, punch out semi circles from the open side to make tabs. This makes it easy to take the cards out.
The base is ready. All you have to do now is to decorate them just the way you like them. I used all my scrap punches and die cuts to decorate thirty of these. Here are a few…
What do you think?
I shall be sharing more ideas for gift card holders in the coming days. Stay tuned for more.
Have an awesome day!
